Hello, visitors! I am Tabion Kashvar, one of the leaders to the MAKO linkshell. I am here to give you a little insight on who we are and what we wish to accomplish.
Firstly, you all should know that above all else we play to have fun. We don't want an environment where we feel like we *have* to do something, instead we would *like* to do it. It seems insignificant but has a huge impact on how you feel about what you're doing when it all comes down to it. One perspective sees it as a chore, the other as something fun and interesting. That is the universal principal of our linkshell, no matter what we are involved in; have fun. When you have fun doing something, you'll do it more often, and doing things often yields progress.
What do we want to accomplish? Well, we want to participate in the high level content that is available and those that will be made available in the future. We want to provide our members with everything they need and want. No one here will never profess that we are a 'hardcore' linkshell so-to-speak, but we'd like to have the same organization and capabilities of one. Our focus is to progress with friends.
Recently, there has been an LS purge and we have our core group together. We would like to strengthen our foundation with a few more reliable, skilled players so that we would be able to do participate in more things on a daily basis, not just on our official event days. We would also like to possibly have two groups running simultaneously on event nights to avoid people having to rotate in/out of the party. It is no big news at this point, but I'll tell you that we have successful speed runs in CC/AV and 60k+ Hamlet wins without provisioner, just so you know exactly what you are coming into.
If you have any questions or would just like to know more about us and/or our linkshell, you can contact any of our linkshell leaders below:

We don't demand much of our members. One thing is that you maintain good attendance to our official event days and be helpful to your fellow ls mates. Additionally, we require that MAKO be your primary linkshell for events. Now, I am not against people having multiple linkshells. That is fine with me. All that I ask is that when it is time for our events you'll be there. Versatility is something that we expect from our members. We need you to play what the party needs, and not necessarily what you want to play. Now, that isn't to say we won't try to work with you there, but we need to work with what we have and I hope you understand. Lastly, treat each other with respect. I know how it can be to deal with people who are rude and disrespectful and that is not the type of environment I want in this linkshell.
We operate on a DKP system. For those of you who do not know what this is, it is when you earn points for attending linkshell events. Your attendance is tracked as a result of this. When we do certain events, like Cutter's Cry and Aurum Vale, the items in the boss chest will have certain DKP values tied to them. So, if you would like Heavy Darklight Gauntlets, for example, then you'd need 15 points to start. Other people can bid against you and it can go as high as either person is willing to spend their available points on. It is the most fair system possible, I think, so if you are reliable and attend events you will earn what you have worked for.
Our schedule currently looks like this;
Monday: 8PM EST
Tuesday: 8PM EST
Thursday: 8PM EST
Be mindful of this when you are applying. We do not want people who can make only one of the three above mentioned days. We want people who can reliably attend most events, and help out even on our off days when we decide to get into things.
